Regardless of the malalignment, initial .016 Supercable archwires are easily and fully engaged with no plastic deformation of any component. The unique construction of Supercable combined with its superelastic properties allows it to recover fully even when severely deformed.
Although the stiffness of Supercable is extremely low, it does fluctuate with temperature changes to further benefit circulation within the periodontium.
These results were obtained using only .016 Supercable for 34 days, .020 Supercable for 36 days and .021 x .025 Braided Nickel Titanium archwire for 49 days. The .021 x .025 Nickel Titanium "finishing" archwire is
