In this severe Class II division 2 malocclusion, the lower incisors and the lower canines were traumatizing the tissue palatal to the upper anterior teeth. The maxillary central incisors were causing injury to the gingiva labial to the lower incisors.
This result was achieved in less than two years by concurrent functional and SPEED appliance treatment. No teeth were extracted nor was headgear used.
